Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-27. Plain English on purpose: this is everything we do with your data.
1. Who we are
Autostill is operated by Autostill Pty Ltd (Sydney, Australia). This policy covers the Autostill web app at autostill.app and the Autostill iOS app. Questions, access requests or deletion requests: support@autostill.app.
2. What we collect
Account details: dealership name, your name, login username and a securely hashed password. Content: the vehicle photos you upload or capture, and the images generated from them. Technical basics: server logs (IP address, timestamps, requests) kept for security and troubleshooting. That is the lot. No analytics trackers, no advertising identifiers, no location data, no contacts.
3. The camera and your photo library
The iOS app uses the camera only while you are shooting a car, and reads only the photos you explicitly choose when uploading. Captured photos are sent to your account on our server. We never scan or import anything else from your device.
4. How your photos are processed
Uploaded photos are processed by specialist AI service providers, acting on our instructions, to produce your studio images. Some of these providers operate outside Australia. Your photos and generated images are not used to train AI models, by us or by our providers. Processing happens over encrypted connections.
5. Where your data lives
Your account data and images are stored in Australia, on secure servers run by our hosting provider. All traffic between your device and the server is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the server is restricted to Autostill Pty Ltd.
6. What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your photos or images with anyone beyond the service providers described above, who process them only on our instructions. We do not use your content for marketing without your written permission.
7. Retention and deletion
Delete a car in the app and its photos and renders are deleted with it. Ask us to delete your account and all of its data and we will, within 30 days, backups included. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security.
8. Number plates
Registration plates visible in uploads are treated as part of the vehicle imagery. The plate cover option can hide the plate in generated images before anything is published.
9. Your rights
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email support@autostill.app. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
10. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will show the change in the app before you continue. The version date at the top of this page always reflects the current policy. Autostill is a business tool for dealerships and is not directed at children.
